Between coniferous plantations, a pile of granite stones emerges at the bend of a path. Taking the shape of a rectangle, it is 400 m long, 40 m wide and several metres thick. The weight and size vary from one block to another. Alongside the moss that covers some of the stones, a few shrubs are attacking this mineral river.
Located on the heights of the commune of Barbey-Seroux, the rock field attracts every year many visitors and foreign tourists who come to discover this wonder of nature. It is true that the existence of such a lost chaos between coniferous plantations astonishes and fascinates. How do you explain such a concentration of rocks in such a small space? As always, it gives rise to numerous legends where the presence of the Evil One is never far away
