Géraudot, formerly spelled Gérosdot, is a pleasant wet Champagne commune on the shores of Lac d'Orient in the heart of the Forêt d'Orient Regional Nature Park, with a population of 291. The village attracts many visitors and tourists in season, thanks to its beach, shops, entertainment, restaurants and vélovoie. Also miniature golf and a visit to the honey factory. The church of Géraudot, with its elegant wooden spire and slate roof, is dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul, the two pillars of Christianity. Half a century ago, however, the town council planned to demolish it, as wartime had left it in a terrible state of disrepair. It is still there, restored little by little over the decades, preserving its marvels. Le Rétable de Géraudot :The sculpted works in the church of Géraudot are an exceptional heritage, unrivalled in the major museums. A brand-new association has been set up, creating new activities and events in the commune: http://geraudotloisirs.free.fr/
