Nécropole nationale française et Cimetière militaire allemand de Thiescourt

This burial and memorial site of the First World War (Western Front) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Located on the outskirts of the village, near the church, this 6,165 m² necropolis, adjoining the German cemetery, was built by France in 1920 on land containing a mass grave of around 50 bodies of German and French soldiers. It contains 1,260 bodies, 547 of which are in ossuaries (2). These bodies came from the provisional cemeteries of Ecouvillon, Mareuil-la-Motte, Saint-Claude, Roye-sur-Matz and Plessis de Roye.
Four British soldiers (2 unidentified machine-gunners, who were initially buried at Roye-sur-Matz, and two R.A.F. officers, only one of whom has been identified) are also buried in this necropolis, as are two French soldiers of the Second World War
