It was in 1530, as indicated in a deed of 10 June, that "permission to build a chapel was granted by the cardinal of Châtillon, bishop of Beauvais, to the inhabitants of Villotran and Mésenguy because of the remoteness of Villotran from Auneuil, with the consent of the parish priest of the said place to have mass celebrated there". The choir wider than the nave, with its brick buttresses, was financed by the largest decimators. The construction of the narrower and lower nave made of bricks but also of flint and plaster was carried out by the inhabitants of Villotran. Apart from the bell tower built in 1733, the church looks the same as it did when it was consecrated on 21 September 1539.
