Of the Romanesque building, the church preserves the choir. Outside, on the east side of the choir, the marks left on the wall are the signatures of the stonemasons. The square bell tower and the presbytery adjoining the church in its northern part were built in 1600. The rest of the church was built in 1846 according to the plans of the architect Lambert. Inside, the medallion of the high altar is made of white marble. It represents the angel who breaks the bonds of Saint Peter in his prison. The medallion of the altar of the Virgin, also in white marble, is a gift from Eugène de Lur Saluces. It shows the Annunciation.
