Perched on a hill overlooking the Dordogne valley, Monbazillac Château is a must-see on the Bergerac wine trail. Property of Monbazillac cellar since 1960, this 16th century building has unique and original architecture, a mix of defence systems, with its allure and moats, and Renaissance style, with bay windows.
The path leading to the château gives you the best view of the building and its terraces with a wide panorama over a sea of vineyards. Furnished with Périgord furniture from the 17th century and Italian baroque furniture, visit the vaulted cellars of Monbazillac château which house a vineyard and wine museum. At the end of your route, enjoy a Monbazillac wine-tasting session.
