The medieval city, nestled in a green setting, charms the visitor with its pebbled houses, sometimes half-timbered, and their generously flowered facades. Through the winding streets, the shady squares and squares, the walker discovers the secular past of the village and the local know-how in the workshops of the craftsmen of Art. A land of traditions, the village has preserved two of them: the Procession of the Sainte Epine, on the 2nd Sunday of July and the "Poule Un" (auction of foodstuffs for the souls), on November 1st.

Its monuments :
The Castle: This XVth century building was built on the site of the Great Stable which depended on the original castle that fell into ruins in the XIVth century. This building was the residence of an illustrious Rouergate family, the Curières de Castelnau. On the lintel of the main entrance, their coat of arms appears. It represents a greyhound running on top of the marquis' crown and illustrates the Curières' motto "semper post gloria currens" (always running after glory).
The north façade overlooks the Place de l'Hom, or the Place du poteau, where justice was once administered. This facade is pierced with windows, with mullions and crossbars, decorated with small figurines. The south facade, which is accessed through a vaulted porch, has a high tower that houses a spiral staircase serving the different floors.
This building, classified in 1978, is privately owned.
The Renaissance private mansion
Located not far from the castle, this remarkable building (1562-1564) rivals it in beauty. It has three floors delimited by stone cords. The first level is the most decorated: mullioned windows and crossbars, triangular pediment above the bays. A demarcation, due to a slight overhang of the facade carried by corbels, brings out a corner tower which allows to serve the floors up to the dovecote. Around the middle of the 17th century, this house belonged to one of the biggest merchants in the area. Today this house is private.
The fortified Romanesque church
A first church was built in the center of the village, on a hill overlooking the Lot. Probably too dilapidated, it was rebuilt in the 11th century and fortified in the 12th century.
During restoration work in 1972, an altar stone called Deusdedit (10th or early 11th century) was brought to light.
This building, reminds by its plan and especially its ambulatory and its oriented apses, the famous abbey church of Conques.
In 1524, François d'Estaing, then Bishop of Rodez, asked for its enlargement to accommodate all the parishioners. The last bays were completed in 1530 under the episcopate of Georges d'Armagnac, his successor.
It houses a reliquary bust of the Holy Thorn - two thorns, certified from the true crown and brought back from the Holy Land by Géraud de Curières and his brother Hugues. This reliquary is walked through the village during the Procession which takes place every year on the 2nd Sunday of July.
The Mill
Built in the 18th century, it is the oldest of the eight mills that used to border the Serre stream (also known as the Lundanne stream). Until 1954, the mill provided quality flour and walnut oil made by the last miller, Mr. Raynal. It was also used to make tannin from crushed oak or chestnut bark. Bought in 1980, it was patiently restored by its current owner, Mr. Alexandre. Its vertical wheel, (one of the rare ones in Aveyron), continues to give rhythm to the life of the flowery village where it is good to stroll.
Eulalie dArt
This artistic pole welcomes 5 creation workshops and the Tourist Welcome Point. It is the ideal starting point for an artistic and artisanal visit in the heart of the village where other workshops have been created : Gite Iemfre, sculptor, ceramist ; Yann, glass blower ; ...
The Roman Pile
According to popular legend, a so-called Roman bridge was swept away by a great flood. The mayor of the time refused categorically to build a new bridge. From then on, ferrymen allowed access to both banks.
It was only in 1976-1977 that the "Voeu Suze" footbridge was built.
