The Scierie du Lançoir (1st construction 1611-1625) is located in the Straiture gorge. A water wheel is a little technique and a lot of poetry. At the Lançoir, we've been sawing wood from our forests for centuries, using water from the torrent. During a visit to this old hydraulic sawmill, a listed historic monument, you'll discover the hard life of 19th-century sagards and the extraordinary ingenuity of mountain men. You'll also discover the thousand and one tricks of the high-iron, a highly sophisticated machine, astonishing in its apparent rusticity, a highly efficient technology marvelous in its simplicity.
By reservation, come and experience an eco workshop (nest box or feeder making). And you're free to walk the sagard trail (photographic walk from May to October).
