Framed by the Vézère and the Dordogne, the commune of Saint-Chamassy dominates the confluence of the two rivers: Vézère and Dordogne.
This commune, whose name comes from the Occitan deformation of Saint Eumache, was over the centuries under the domination of the lords of Bigaroque and then of Limeuil.
Situated midway between Périgueux, Sarlat and Bergerac, in the heart of a region with a wealth of tourist attractions, the tranquility combined with the diversity of the landscape makes it a haven of peace.
