GROTTE DE DANNE

Place of refuge and memory, the rock that shelters the Danne cave is named Rocher Albert in honor of the president of the Club Vosgien section from 1935 to 1964. Near Phalsbourg, the cave is located not far from the forest house of Finstingerkopf, formerly property of the lords of Fénétrange (13th and 14th centuries).
How to get there: take the direction of Bois de Chêne Haut, following the direction of Saverne from the center of Phalsbourg, until the traffic circle of the Collège Saint-Antoine, then turn right on the road of Bois de Chêne Haut. Continue on the rue du Pilsfels until the end, then park at the edge of the forest and follow the sign Grotte de Danne passing in front of the forest house of Finstingerkopf. You can also discover the Circuit des Lavoirs (8,6 km ? blue ring marking) see the map " Randonnée au Pays de Phalsbourg " available for free in the tourist information offices.
