At this vast property covering more than 600 hectares in the garrigue close to Montpellier, public visits are combined with farming and pastoral activities. The flock of sheep at Roussières, which move from summer to winter pastures, continue a thousand-year-old tradition. Close to restored traditional buildings, Roussières has a picnic area set beneath holm oaks, a water fountain and toilets, as well as local information boards covered by a roof. By taking the marked Réseau vert® route you can explore numerous prehistoric sites in detail (such as the Draille Dolmen), while savouring the charm of the wild garrigue, which hums with cicadas in the summer.
