Saint-Dié-des-Vosges ; German: Sankt Didel), commonly referred to as just Saint-Dié, is a commune in the Vosges department in Grand Est in northeastern France.
Saint-Dié is located in the Vosges Mountains 80 km southeast of Nancy and 80 km southwest of Strasbourg. This route in the valley of the river Meurthe was always the more frequented, and first to get a rail line in 1864, so now it accommodates the primary road.
