This guest house is a former farm where mixed farming and livestock breeding were practiced. In the heart of the village of Travassac, this late 19th-century building is built with local materials, including slate, as the former owners had one of the last slate quarries in operation in the 1950s. A five-minute walk from the Pans de Travassac, you'll discover a site that's unique in Europe, a vestige of a time when slate mining was in full swing. Travassac, a small, peaceful village in the medieval town of Donzenac, is ideally located 5 km from the A20 freeway and 8 km from the A89. Not far from the pearl of the Limousin, Uzerche, and one of France's most beautiful villages, Collonge-la-Rouge, you'll be staying in a characterful building whose recent restoration has preserved the soul of Travassac.
