The Salle des Catherinettes in Colmar is at the disposal of those who wish to organize a birthday party, a wedding, a family celebration, an aperitif, a club meeting, a company meeting or a reception... In short, any event that brings several people together during the year .
The Dominican sisters, originally from Ammerschwihr, founded their monastery in Colmar in 1310. The monastic buildings were built in the first half of the 14th century. Construction of the church began in 1316 and was completed in 1371 for the choir and in 1436 for the nave. The buildings were remodeled and rebuilt in the 15th and 18th centuries. The monastery had to be rebuilt in the 16th century. The choir's chevet was amputated in the 19th century when adapting rue Kléber.
The monastery belonged to the diocese of Basel, successively to the province of Lyon and then to the province of Besançon. After its closure in 1792, the buildings became a military hospital with numerous renovations. During the First World War they were converted into a school and military barracks.
