Petite Venise - Colmar

The Little Venice or Petite Venise district is one of the most beautiful districts in the old center of the city. As the name suggests, there are many canals and rivers in Little Venice. The district starts just outside the Koifhus and runs until the Turenne and Saint-Pierre bridges. In the district there will be many beautifully colored half-timbered houses. In the summer months, the canals that run through the neighborhood are decorated with richly colored flower boxes. In the evenings, these channels are beautifully lit in various colors. The canals that run through Little Venice are ideal for a boat trip through Colmar. However, you can also take a nice walk through the neighborhood. Several walks through Colmar are available from the local Tourist Office.
