INSTITUT THÉODORE GOUVY

The Institut Théodore Gouvy is based in the Villa Gouvy and works to rediscover Théodore Gouvy, a 19th century composer who has been unjustly forgotten. Their main activities are: the festival Les Rencontres Musicales, the publication of his works and visits to the Villa Gouvy, where the composer lived the last 30 years of his life and composed his most important works.

At present, the Villa Gouvy is under renovation and cannot be visited, but you can admire it from the outside and, of course, the Institut continues its activities during the works.

Every year, the Rencontres Musicales festival offers concerts in a variety of musical styles and from different countries, not forgetting, of course, the classical music so dear to the heart and work of Théodore Gouvy.
