Founded in the 12th century, the Lucerne abbey was occupied by Premonstratensian canons. Nestled in a hollow of the Thar valley, these Romanesque constructions rise up, their sobriety and austerity evoking the Cistercian spirit. An imposing bell tower announces the advent of Gothic architecture. Since 1959, the abbey has been undergoing a spectacular restoration: renovation of the cellars, the refectory and the abbey church with its vaulting. Discover also the porch, the dovecot, the park, the abbot's lodging and its lake.
