The Dam é drôles adventure was born out of the friendship of three "Drôles de Dames" (Funny Ladies), who loved their Basque country, a land of richness and authenticity. Dam é drôles is rooted in this fabulous heritage, in these omnipresent crafts. The espadrille, one of the jewels in the crown, was an obvious choice. We used noble materials, natural fibers, jute, linen and nubuck, not forgetting our beads, woven by "African Mamas", and our leather, chosen from one of France's finest tanneries in the Basque country.
Visit the workshop on Thursday afternoons from 2.30pm to 6pm and Saturday mornings from 9.30am to 1pm.
On Thursdays at 2.30pm and 4pm, and on Saturdays at 10am and 11.30am, you can take part in workshops to make leather babouche-style espadrille key-rings (registration required).
