The Col de la Schlucht (1139 metres) is part of the route des Crêtes
Splendid view of the Vosges summits and the main lakes.
Start from the Col de la Schlucht for walks, with snowshoes, discover the ski slopes of the Valley of Munster
And stop at one of our many farm inns to enjoy the famous marble meal.
Background:
The road of the peaks is an old strategic road built in 1915 by the French troops
Two trains served the pass, the first inaugurated in 1903 linked Gérardmer to the Hohneck via the Schlucht. The second operated from 1907 to 1914 and linked Munster to the Col.
