Galerie Egregore

The Galerie Égrégore reopens in Casteljaloux-La Réunion in an exceptional space: a stable with 24 cribs (rehabilitated in 1941) and the memories of a chapel totally rethought as an art gallery, preserving the beauty of the place. Full of history, its occupation goes back to the Neolithic period. The remains of a Roman road run alongside the buildings. With the Captain Soulier, companion in arms of Henri IV, the domain was a stronghold of the Reformed religion
All the buildings were enclosed by walls which have now disappeared. There are still many remains: remarkable pillars at the entrance to the old estate, bread ovens from the beginning of the 18th century, a dovecote with a remarkable stone staircase from 1602
The 27 hectares domain of the gallery is classified by the Conservatoire des Espace Naturels de Nouvelle Aquitaine. You will be able to admire works of art outside.
