In the center of the village, a small path bordered by a dry stone wall leads to the site. The fountain and washhouse are located under a fruit tree. The fountain, 'a good spring' nestled in a low wall, was used by locals who came to fetch water with buckets, particularly 'for the cows in the stable'. A granite trough and a wash-house with rounded corners receive water from the fountain. A granite outcrop near the site was quarried by Italian stonecutters who settled in the village in the 1930s.
