The Capuchins "religious of the order of Saint Francis of Assisi" arrived in Cazères in 1613. A chapel was built in 1619, then a cloister adjoining the chapel in 1717. This cloister was built with stones extracted from the underground quarries of Belbèze-en-Comminges. First cut on the port quay of Roquefort, they were then transported to Cazères by the Garonne. The Cloister of the Capuchins consists of an interior courtyard surrounded by a peristyle whose vault leans on heavy pillars without sculptures.
