This dolmen dates from the Middle Neolithic. It measures 3.40 m in diameter and 1.20 m thick. It has an almost round flat stone with a flat underside, carried by 8 vertical stones (one of which is missing).
The name of the dolmen surely comes from the unstable balance of the flat stone.
in the 19th century, one of the vertical stone supporting the flat stone was removed to excavate the burial chamber : a stone container was found, which contained a flint ax.
The dolmen has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1938.
