Today surrounded by wooded areas and bocage, Hambye Abbey was once surrounded by moors, dry grasslands and small copses. The paths that crisscross the site allow you to discover some of the species of these environments with low vegetation or shrubs. The landscape is also marked by the confluence of the Sienne and the Doquette. These two rivers are ideal for the reproduction of migratory fish and feed the surrounding meadows with small ponds or temporary wetlands rich in plant species that are rare in the region.
