The Cohons cliff is located in a shaded former quarry. It's the most interesting cliff in Haute-Marne in terms of its size, height and choice of levels.
Height: 20 to 25 m
Facing: South
Number of routes: 50
Grades: 4a to 8a (many routes in 5 and 6)
Accessible with children.
Route names are indicated at the foot of the cliff. Most routes are equipped with resin-sealed spindles; belays are equipped with chains. A 50m rope and 10 quickdraws are all you need. Descent is by top-roping or abseiling.
Important information:
From February 1 to June 31, due to the nesting of protected rock species and by municipal decree, access to the cliff is only permitted on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 7pm. During this period, many routes are no longer accessible for climbing, and our friends the dogs are not allowed.
Free access the rest of the year, except during hunting season.
For further information about the site, please contact the Cohons town hall on 03 25 84 79 44 on Mondays or Thursdays from 9 to 11.45 a.m.
