Altkirch

The town is home to the Musée Sundgauvien and the Centre Rhénan d'Art Contemporain, which are open all year round.

The Prieuré Saint Morand, the Eglise Notre-Dame, the old city walls and other medieval remains reflect the cultural and architectural diversity to be found here. Guided tours for groups and individuals are available on request. You'll also find a tourist map at the Tourist Office to help you discover the town on your own.

A modern town with an original spirit, Altkirch also boasts a dynamic commercial fabric, grouped together within the Altkirch Traditions association, which has been awarded two gold panonceaux. The town also organizes numerous and varied cultural events, such as the Forêt Enchantée in December, the Fête de la Musique, street shows in summer, concerts and many other shows put on by energetic local associations.

Free guided tours of the town are organized every summer, and you can also discover Altkirch and the surrounding area on short walks.
