Enjoy a relaxing stay in the mountain resort of Wangenbourg, in a house that exudes charm in every way. Set in the heart of the Vosges forest massif, it's the ideal setting for your outdoor activities. Entirely renovated, the gîte meticulously combines comfort and rusticity both inside and out. When you stay at Les Bergeronnettes, you'll experience a pure bubble of disconnection from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Nicknamed the "Switzerland of Alsace" for its scattered settlements and the origins of its inhabitants, the village benefits from a calm, unspoilt natural environment that is ideal for rest and relaxation.
The house is located directly on the hiking trails, at the crossroads of four
of the Trans-Vosgian GR (GR 53, GR 531, GR 532 and GR 534), next to the ?gîte d?étape? of the
"Refuge du Grand-Tétras".
The same applies to mountain biking, as it is located right in the middle of the Schneeberg massif?s signposted trails and close to the TMV (Traversée du Massif Vosgien).
The same goes for cycling, which is also king here, with the Valsberg, Pandours and Hengst passes.
At the same time, it's a great base for discovering Alsace: the great tourist classics (Saverne, Marmoutier, the Wine Route, Obernai, Mont Sainte-Odile, etc.), as well as the little, more secret corners that the owners will help you discover.
Also ideal for visiting Strasbourg, with several shuttle buses at a flat rate of 2.50?
per trip.
Many of the highlights of nearby Lorraine are also within easy reach (Dabo, Plan Incliné de Saint-Louis - Arzviller, Sarrebourg, Parc animalier de Sainte-Croix, etc.)
The ?Bergeronnettes? bed and breakfast is located on the first floor of a house (a former forge) dating from 1831.
It has a separate entrance and is surrounded by a small courtyard and terrace overlooking the stream.
Completely renovated and refurbished, it strives to combine comfort and rusticity, and to be in harmony with the surrounding Vosges forest and mountain spirit (all woodwork comes from the local forest).
With a surface area of 75m2, it features a beautiful living/dining room; a double bedroom;
a spacious kitchen; sanitary facilities (washbasins, shower, with separate toilet);
various storage spaces.
Equipped with a sofa bed, it can accommodate 2 to 4 people.
It is also equipped for a small child (cot + high chair).
