Christian Fournié specialises in a forgotten stained-glass technique known as verre mousseline. He is one of the only stained-glass artists in France to trace the history of this type of glass in order to reproduce it as faithfully as possible. He produces delicate designs, which he preserves at his studio in Beaufort for the needs of individuals, architects and professions related to preservation of heritage.
Christian Fournié holds the title of Maître-Artisan en Métiers d’Art (Master Craftsman). Set up in 1997, he also works for customers in the spheres of interior design, architecture, signage and event marketing.
He regularly opens his studio to the public, in a desire to present his craft and to pass on his skills.
