Have you heard of the Musée archéologique Lémovice Guy Lintz in St Gence, 15 minutes from Limoges?
Ten years of excavations have provided important information about the Gallic village of Saint-Gence . However, they have only covered a small part of the site, i.e. around one thirtieth of its estimated surface area of some 15 hectares.
Saint-Gence is considered to have been an important center of Lemovician settlement since the 3rd century BC. So why not visit the museum and dream that Saint-Gence may well have been a village of Gallic diehards!
You can also take part in the Terra Aventura "Tous en Celtes" treasure hunt for the "Ziclou" badge. This treasure hunt will help you learn more about the history of the ancient Gallic town of Saint-Gence.
