The casemates were the very first to be built on the Maginot Line, and the first to enter active service (casemate test in August
1931), commissioned in January 1934. They were the scene of fighting on June 14, 1940. The crew surrendered to the Germans on orders and are
undefeated on June 30, 1940. A tour of the building takes visitors on a journey back to 1940, where they discover the life of a soldier
through a rich historical reconstruction. The tour also provides an insight into the construction of the Maginot Line. Tours are available
by appointment on the dates and at the times indicated.
