Founded in 1796, L?IMAGERIE D?EPINAL is the world's last remaining image factory, and today continues the adventure of creating images inspired by its exceptional iconographic heritage. Its historic workshops can be visited all year round, guiding visitors on an original, interactive journey through 220 years of images.

A visit to the Musée de l'Image is the perfect complement to a visit to the Imagerie store, where you can find the images for which the town of Épinal is famous.
Today, the Imagerie and the museum are managed by the town of Épinal, and the two establishments are sometimes referred to together as the "cité de l?Image". This is logical, given that they are neighbors, and were built on the same site as the former Imagerie Pellerin factory, founded in 1796!

In the store, located in the heart of the Imagerie?s historic building, visitors will find over 5,000 items: not only the traditional images that have made the Imagerie famous, such as the emblematic riddles, but also contemporary creations, books, stationery and a selection of beautiful objects illustrated by the artists who have succeeded one another within its walls.

L'Imagerie became the property of the City of Épinal at the beginning of 2026, with the ambition of preserving and promoting an exceptional heritage of nearly 7,000 lithographic stones, 1,400 woodcuts and 23 antique machines listed as historic monuments. The Imagerie workshops are currently closed to visitors, while the town is developing a new project to bring this cultural and heritage treasure to life. So, while you wait for the reopening, head for the Imagerie store and the Musée de l?Image!
