Its round towers, its loopholes and in some places its covered way with stairs and crenellated parapet.
It was the master masons of Saint Beauzély who built the fortifications of Castelnau. They will protect many other villages against the truckers who plunge the country in a very great insecurity at the end of the Hundred Years War.
These vestiges are part of the circuit dedicated to Romanesque art: "Romanesque heritage along the valleys of the Muse, Raspes du Tarn and surrounding areas".
