Stepping proudly to the front of the stage, top hat and impeccable suit, here's a magician in the purest music-hall tradition who's got style. He performs a series of high-flying tricks with brio, and promises us some mind-blowing magic? Until things start to go wrong. His assistant Goupil, a taxidermized ex-fox and former extra-soft scarf, rebels. Tricks go awry, the magician loses his touch and the atmosphere turns cartoonish. Thanks to an irresistible sleight-of-hand by Étienne Saglio, a benchmark of new magic, the show shifts to a joyful fantasy, in the universe of Tex Avery or Pixar studios: as magical as it is zany. From one surprise to the next, we travel into the world of illusion, where our bearings are shaken and our minds wander, between laughter and wonder.
