A vineyard marked by the First World War.
In the heart of the Porte Sud vineyards, open to the plain and overlooking the town of Cernay, the Cote 425 vineyard offers a breathtaking view of the Alsace plain.
In this unique vineyard, entirely destroyed during the First World War and then replanted in 1920, you will find traces of the conflict and the fighting: monuments, oratories, old bunkers....
Its soil and its exposure offer a production favorable to the Pinot Noir, of which the famous red of Steinbach, and one finds there all the Alsatian type of vines.
A wine trail has been created to allow easy walking, especially for families.
