The church, built on a rock, was restored thanks to a colossal gift from Marguerite de Valois. It features a fan-shaped bell tower with two levels, supporting 5 valuable bells. The largest is the oldest in the region, dating from 1396. They were carefully hidden in 1793 from being melted down and turned into cannons.
The stone Porte du Cers pierced the village ramparts, which were dismantled following a cholera epidemic in the 1850s. In addition to the Porte de Cers, a few other vestiges of the fortifications remain: the nearby pond (former moat) and a section of rampart opposite the Porte de Cers. It is listed as a historic monument, as is the church.
