L'ETAPE OCCITANE

Between Toulouse and Carcassonne, this pretty gite will be the starting point of many discoveries in Occitania. In the heart of the village of Saint-Papoul, close to Castelnaudary, a comfortable gîte in a completely renovated house, facing the 13th century Benedictine abbey. The accommodation offers a nice view on the cathedral tower and the episcopal castle. A few kilometers away, you will discover the Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover (or rediscover) the famous cassoulet, typical dish of the region... On this occasion we organize workshops to make the authentic cassoulet of Castelnaudary with tasting (on request in supplement ask us), a moment impossible to circumvent! For the fervent ones of nature, Saint Papoul is at 20 minutes only of the lakes of the Black Mountain, perfect to walk and also for the bathings which are very pleasant and supervised. Numerous walking and cycling routes start from the gite. The municipal tennis court is 50 m away and free for the guests. The bowling alley with children's playground is 50 m away. Concerning the composition of the lodging, you will find on the ground floor: a large living room with open kitchen and laundry. On the first floor: 3 bedrooms, 2 of them with a 180 cm bed and the last one with 2 beds 90 cm which can be twinned. Each room has a private bathroom with toilet. A storage room is available (bikes, motorcycles or hiking equipment...)
