The National Necropolis of Montauville known as "Le Pétant" is composed of two parts.
In the upper part is the cemetery of the 14-18 conflict. It was created in 1915, combat wood the Priest and developed between 1920 and 1936; grouping of graves and temporary military cemeteries located in the area of Pont-à-Mousson (right and left bank of the Moselle).
In the lower part is the cemetery of conflict 39-45. From 1948 to 1951, repatriation of the bodies of prisoners of war brought back from Germany and Austria. In 1968, regrouping of the exhumed bodies 39-40 from Meurthe-et-Moselle. In 1971, burial of the bodies of prisoners of war 39-45 repatriated from the Rawa-Ruska disciplinary camp in Ukraine.
