La necropoli nazionale di Montauville, nota come "Le Pétant", è composta da due parti.
Nella parte superiore si trova il cimitero del conflitto del 14-18. Creato nel 1915, in occasione della battaglia del Bois le Prêtre, e sviluppato tra il 1920 e il 1936, riunisce le tombe e i cimiteri militari temporanei del settore di Pont-à-Mousson (riva destra e sinistra della Mosella).
Nella parte inferiore si trova il cimitero del conflitto 39-45. Dal 1948 al 1951, rimpatrio dei corpi dei prigionieri di guerra riportati dalla Germania e dall'Austria. Nel 1968 furono riuniti i corpi esumati della Meurthe-et-Moselle. Nel 1971, la sepoltura dei corpi dei prigionieri di guerra rimpatriati dal campo disciplinare di Rawa-Ruska in Ucraina.
