This Museum of France is dedicated to local prehistory and the Upper Paleolithic
Discover the life of men in the Lussacois during the Paleolithic period through their environment, their way of life, their technical and artistic skills.
Five museographic spaces are proposed: discoverers and archaeological discoveries, the environment of the Man in the Paleolithic, the traces of the Man in Lussacois, the life of the Men of Bois-Ragot, the Man and the Art.
Tools, weapons...and objects of art engraved on bone and limestone are highlighted. The engraved stones of animals and especially of humans discovered in the cave of La Marche occupied in the Magdalenian period are original and remarkable works.
Also to be discovered: family activities, Préhisto' walks, temporary exhibitions, Préhisto' workshops..
