The main portal bears the initials of the painter Joseph Antoine Batanchon (died 1812 in Lestiac sur Garonne). Founder of the Academy of Painting of Bordeaux in 1768.
The wine merchant, Mr Calvet de Lestapis, former owner of Château Tauzia in Gradignan, wine merchant lived in the house, late 19th century.
