The imperial railway station of Chambrey is a witness of the old frontier of 1871. Its monumental aspect was to strike people's minds and visually mark the new frontier. The station building was at the heart of a German quarter separated from the village. Destroyed in 1918, the station was rebuilt more modestly. The gradual closure of the Nancy-Sarreguemines line led to its obsolescence. The station was closed in 1975, bought by the commune, it was then transformed into a village hall.
