Located 7 kilometres from Préchacq-les-Bains in the southern Landes region’s Chalosse area, Sophie and Didier open the doors of their Maison Barbé to you. The self-catering cottage adjoins the owners’ home on La Déesse des Gourmets duck farm. What could be better than barbecued duck breast?! You can savour it on the covered terrace of an enclosed private garden.
For your groceries, head to Montfort-en-Chalosse or Pontonx-sur-l’Adour for their shops and supermarkets. Also just a few minutes’ drive away, the convenience store in Poyanne sells basic necessities. While you’re at it, you can also enjoy some tasty rum. Bonus: Don’t feel like cooking? The owners will have a table waiting for you at their inn, right by the cottage.
