Discover a rich collection of furniture, clothing and objects illustrating everyday life in the Vosges in the last century. A faithful reconstruction of a Vosges house reveals the kitchen, bedrooms and traditional living spaces, surrounded by tools and ancient know-how.
A model room features a paper mill, a grain mill and a blast furnace, illustrating artisanal methods using water as a motive force. Another room pays tribute to General Humbert, born in Saint-Nabord and famous for his victory at the Battle of Castlebar during the Franco-Irish Expedition.
Free admission. Open house on Tuesdays in July and August (information at the Tourist Office) and visits by appointment outside these dates.
