The former gatekeeper's house, 50 m from the river and a majestic old elm that watches over the old Boussignac mill, turns its back on the small railroad line linking Limoges to Saint Junien. Less than 10 shuttles and only during the day. The small road leading down to the gîte doesn't go any further, but is extended by a hiking trail that allows you to discover the calm and lush nature of the Vienne riverbanks. The gîte opens onto a terrace covered by a pergola, from which you can observe a small fish pond. The grounds are enclosed, and a shed is available for fishermen to store their gear, or for storing bicycles. Nearby attractions include Saint Junien, the city of leather and the Corot site, Rochechouart with its rich architectural heritage and contemporary art museum, Oradour Sur Glane, a place of remembrance, bowling and laser games in Chaillac Sur Vienne.
