The association was created on November 21, 2014 and its premises inaugurated on October 1, 2016. It is a space presenting, in the form of an exhibition room and living museum, local gemmaking and its associated activities.
It is a place of remembrance retracing the economic activity that has structured the life and social fabric of the commune and of the Aquitaine Massif in general: gemmage, its practice, its history, the social struggles of the resiniers, its decline and its hope for rebirth.
The team of volunteers welcomes you to its former sheepfold every Tuesday morning from 10am to 12pm in June and low season, and from 10am to 4pm in July and August.
Reservations are required for your visit, which includes various workshops (gemmaking demonstration, history and management of the forest, current use of gemstones).
Reservations required on 06 80 20 06 29. Free admission
