The commune of Arès wanted to highlight the motto, but also the values that are dear to all of us, the values of the Republic: "Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité, Laïcité" (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, Secularity).
On this occasion, the square's 1st portrait was unveiled in tribute to Jean-Moulin, a leading figure in the French Resistance.
