LA CHAPELLE DE LA SALETTE

Located in the commune of Le Ménil. This ancient oratory is accessible on foot, notably by the blue easel marked path leading to La Tête des Champs. It can be approached by car until you cross the path leading to it after 600 metres. GPS departure: 47°55'06.5" N / 6°49'18" E GPS chapel: 47°54'49" N / 6°49'17" E (alt. 926 m) The chapel is located on a rocky outcrop overlooking the surroundings. This small square building stands on a masonry base. The walls are protected by blue painted sheet metal. The pyramidal roof is also made of sheet metal but painted brown-red. The facade shows 2 shutters closed by a lock. Opening inwards, they protect a niche clad in wood. Behind a glass window are various statuettes of the Virgin, including one from La Salette.
