Marion Leyssene's roots are in the Limousin region, near Saint-Yrieix in Coussac Bonneval, where kaolin was discovered in France. During her training in throwing at the CNIFOP in Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, she perfected her technique with Lilou Milcent in Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie, where she settled immediately after graduating.
in August 2019, Marion returned to school and furthered her knowledge at the Maison de la Céramique in Dieulefit. She has just opened her new workshop in Haute-Vienne.
Porcelain, a fine and demanding material, is her favorite clay. She shapes it by turning, in search of pure, modern forms. This quest also extends to her work with enamels, inspired by her love of the natural world around her.
