A very rare monument in the West of France, the pagan hypogeum of Louin dates from the Gallo-Roman period. It was discovered in 1898 by M. Moreau while working in his field. By digging deep, he cleared an access, giving onto a burial chamber. This one contains two stone coffins, still visible today.
