The chapel of the Ermitage Frère Joseph, nestled in a green setting, is a listed building. It was built by the Véternats in 1757 for the hermit Frère Joseph. This pious man is credited with many cures, as evidenced by the votive offerings on display. On April 22, 1909, following the blessing of two granite plaques affixed to the walls of the Ventron and Cornimont churches, Pope Leo XIII decreed Brother Joseph venerable. His relics are preserved in a glass coffin in the church sacristy. Every last Sunday in July, a pilgrimage mass is celebrated in the Hermitage chapel, located in a clearing surrounded by centuries-old conifers.
